GROWING UP, SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLAYMATES. WHETHER I WAS CRAWLING AROUND HER MASSIVE HOOVES PRETENDING I WAS ONE OF HER OWN AND INDULGING IN A LITTLE SALT BLOCK, OR DRESSING THE TWO OF US UP IN TUTUS AND RIBBONS TO PARADE DOWN MAINSTREET FOR THE 4TH OF JULY PARADE, SHE WAS ALWAYS SWEETER THAN PIE. SHE WAS THE ONLY HORSE THAT CALMLY LET A GOOD LOT OF US CRAWL ON AND AROUND HER WITHOUT GIVING ANY OF US A BUCK THROUGHOUT HER 30+ YEARS. I ONLY CAN BE SO THANKFUL TO HAVE THE MEMORIES OF HER THAT I DO. GIVE A NEIGH OUT TO THE REST OF THE FAMILY, DUCHESS, WHERE I HOPE THE GRASS IS FOREVER MORE GREEN FOR YOU ALL ON THE OTHER SIDE.
